Jesus Glorified — the Spirit Given

This issue of The Golden Candlestick contains the edited transcription of a series of talks by T. Austin-Sparks about the connection between the glorification of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. When and where the meetings were held we do not know. As is his custom T. Austin-Sparks does not dwell on the great theological truths but rather on the practical side of the topic in the lives of believers and in the community of believers together.

The calling of the Church
T. Austin-Sparks will never forget to mention that the calling of the Church is Godward, i.e. to contain and reflect His glory. This purpose has been fulfilled in His glorified Son. By grace the Church shares His glory and co-operates with Him to execute His authority. It is the Holy Spirt Who helps the Church to grow in this awesome responsibility.
